Mumbai/Nagpur: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday expressed its displeasure over tardy investigation into murder case of rationalists Dr Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare. The court also put the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis into the dock by posing him pointed questions.

“You are holding several important ministries including Home Ministry portfolio himself and then display some efficiency. Are you Chief Minister of the State or a leader of a party,” the High Court questioned Fadnavis.

The High Court rapped the Chief Minister and the State Government during the hearing held on Wednesday in the murder case of Dr Dabholkar and Pansare.

Earlier during the hearing held recently, the court had come down heavily on the agencies investigating the murder case saying that they were taking too much time in tracing those accused still absconding in the case. Petitions filed by the family members of Dabholkar and Pansare sought court supervision in the probes conducted by the central and state agencies.
