A cyclist dashed by a rashly driver Eicher Pick-up vehicle bearing RTO registration number MH-12 / DG 5846 on the night of June 30, 2015, died on the spot, while other cycle riders were injured in the road mishap that occurred on Old Bhandara Road.
According to Lakhadganj Police, Gopal Mangia Yadav a resident of Dharam Nagar Kalamna, Tejram Harinarayan Yadav aged 35, and a resident of Bharat Nagar Kalamna and Toranlal Yadav aged 55 years and a resident of Vinayakpur, Kalamna were going by cycle on Old Bhandara Road.
Meanwhile, a rashly driven Eicher Pick-up vehicle dashed all the three at Power House Square on Old Bhandara Road. In the road mishap, Tejram Yadav who was critically wounded died on the spot, while Gopal Yadav and Toranlal Yadav were grievously injured.
After the mishap, the driver of Eicher Pick-up vehicle fled the spot. Based on the complaint lodged by Vishnu Manohar Yadav, the Lakhadganj Police has registered a case against the Eicher driver. The injured Gopal Yadav and Toranlal Yadav and undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Further investigations are underway.
