Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Nagpur is without regular Chairman and Secretary.
Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) in Nagpur is headless. The MSBSHSE, Nagpur is running without a regular Chairman and Secretary since the past one year. The fact that the posts of Chairman and Secretary are being held by caretakers is making the matter of concern for the Nagpur Division. As the Board exams are drawing nearer and nearer, appointment of regular incumbents on both these posts requires immediate attention.
The then Chairman of Nagpur Division Borkar had left his post in 2013. After him, Amravati Division Chairman Sanjay Ganorkar was holding the additional responsibility of Nagpur Division.
The Government had appointed S.N. Pandhre, Deputy Commissioner, Examination Council, on the post of Chairman. However, S.N. Pandhre was reluctant on joining Nagpur Division and thus his appointment was cancelled, surprisingly. Since then the post of Chairman is lying vacant.
The then Secretary Anil Pardi was promoted as Deputy Director of Education but still holding the additional responsibility as caretaker Secretary of Nagpur Division. The regular Chairman and Secretary are eluding the Nagpur division since long, making the administration orphan.
In the absence of these posts, many important works of the Board have been blocked. The Nagpur Division has a very vast work, including examinations, answer sheets and revaluation. The SSC and HSSC exams are also coming closer. Anil Pardhi has full time responsibility of Examination Council, and as a Secretary he has to sign on very important certificates of the students. Due to his unavailability, this works also gets delayed.
The new Government in Maharashtra is expected to take an initiative and fill up the posts, for better.
