Crowd of businessmen, gangsters, political bigwigs gather to participate in last rites of Diyewar

Nagpur News : A huge crowd of around 1,000 – 1,500 people gathered at Ambazari ghat to pay last homage to Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Hemant Diyewar, who was shot dead by two unidentified youths on Sunday night. Crowd involves leaders from BJP, BJYM, Congress, Mayor Anil Sole, a number of gangsters of Nagpur including Santosh Ambekar, Anil Dhawad, Maruti Nawwa.

The cops are still an arm length away from the murderers but sources confirmed that cops have clues about the killers and soon they will nab the goons.

It is noted that Hemant Diyewar was shot dead in his jeep on Sunday night on a nearly point blank range near Shankar Nagar. Diyewar was the Vice President of BJYM and was involved in property dealing affairs. On Sunday night, Diyewar was sitting in his jeep when two youths, who were draping cloths on their faces, came near Diyewar and fired at him. Diyewar collapsed and died on the spot. This shoot out created panic in the area and murderers escaped the spot taking advantage of this panic. Passer-by informed the police. He was immediately taken to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

The angered workers of BJYM gathered at GMCH and a situation of tension gripped the area when news of his death was confirmed. Many bigwigs visited GMCH after the news hit their ears. Police were tight lipped about the reason of this shoot out; sources say that the reason might be old rivalry. The sources said that Diyewar had been into fight with a youth from Bihar a few days ago and this assassination might be result of that fight.

DCP Kanse informed that they had some clues regarding the murder and the killers will soon be in police custody.
