Crime Branch may crack Bobby Sardar murder case within 48 hours

Nagpur: Crime Branch sleuths who were found groping in the dark for the past one week likely to crack the sensational murder of transporter Bhupendra Singh Manjit Singh Makan alias Bobby Sardar within 48 hours as they have stumbled upon some clues.

Semi-decomposed body of Bobby Sardar was found in a nullah in Kondhali area on April 28.

The reliable sources have revealed to Nagpur Today, that cops have seized the Innova car which was used in kidnapping and murder of the Dixit Nagar based transporter. Following the interrogation of the car owner, it came to fore that the owner had allotted the vehicle used in committing this heinous crime to a person who has not reportedly been to his house for past three days and his phone was also switched off. However, with the help of Cyber Cell and their informers, Crime Branch is likely to solve the case within 48 hours.

Cops have interrogated more than 15 persons so far but police could not get any clue. Bobby’s body was found on Sunday morning under jurisdiction of Kondhali police station. As it is suspected that crime started from city precincts, a case of murder was registered here on the basis of complaint given by his wife Parminder (49).

Property disputes could be prime reason
Besides property disputes, police are probing the case from various other angles including cricket betting disputes, money laundering, old rivalry and extra-marital affairs. Supari killing is also under investigation. Bobby was involved in various cases of property disputes including one with builder Moryani and notorious criminal Little Sardar which came to fore during a wedding, sources said.

CCTVs to the rescue
Along with the CCTVs at Kondhali Tol Naka police are examining CCTVs in all the possible areas, where Bobby visited before getting kidnapped. During the scanning of footages, cops observed Bobby talking to an unknown person whose image is not clear. It has been alleged that the unidentified person could be the prime accused involved in the murder.

Bobby had left his office on Thursday night and disappeared since then. The family members approached Jaripatka Police and lodged a missing complaint. An Innova car of Bobby was recovered from Mangalwari Bazaar area on Saturday. On Sunday morning, a passer-by noticed his body lying near a bridge under the jurisdiction of Kondhali police. The spot is about five kilometres away from the Nagpur-Amravati Highway, who later alerted the police. Staff of Kondhali Police Station rushed to the spot. As the police did not find anything at the spot to ascertain identity of the deceased, they sent pictures of the body to the city police which identified him as Bobby Sardar.
