Crime Branch cracks 19 cases of burglaries, arrest 10 boys; booty worth Rs 5.66 lakh seized

burglary 1Nagpur: Crime Branch of Nagpur Police cracked several cases of burglaries registered at various police stations and arrested 10 boys in the age group of 19-22 years. The cops have also detained two juvenile delinquents in this connection. Gold ornaments, laptops, mobile phones, two-wheelers collectively worth Rs 5.66 lakh have been seized from the possession of arrested accused. In all 19 offences of theft and cheating were registered against the accused. Similarly, the Crime Branch sleuths have arrested a 40-year old man on the charges of possessing a country-made Mauzer pistol and two live cartridges.

The squads of Crime Branch during the period from 16.3.15 to 23.3.15 succeeded in arresting the accused identified as Aakash Prakash Uikey (22), his brother Suraj Uikey (19), both residents of Gedam
Layout, Wanadongri, Gautam Kanhaiyyalal Patil (21), a resident of Panchasheel Nagar, Sheikh Shahbaz Shaikh Samad (19), a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Avinash Prabhakar Masram (21), resident of Amar Nagar, MIDC, Roshan Anandrao Shende (19), resident of New Futala, Rohit Ashok Patil (19), Kartik Ram
Nanet (19), both residents of Gautam Nagar, Guddu alias Rohit Sunil Nakke (21), resident of Misal
Layout, and Shiva Sunil Maste (22), resident of Bezonbag. Cops also booked two 17-year-old
boys for their involvement in the crimes.

Cops have seized gold ornaments, laptops, mobile phones, 14 two-wheelers collectively worth Rs 5.66 from the possession of arrested accused. In all 19 offences of theft, robbery, vehicle lifting and cheating were registered against the accused at various police stations of city.

Similarly, acting on a tip off, the Crime Branch squad arrested Arun Khushalrao Awaze (40), resident of New Bidipeth, Nagpur, on charges of possessing a country-made Mauzer pistol and two live cartridges without license collectively worth Rs 12,000. An offence has been registered against the accused under Sections 3, 25 of Indian Arms Act.
