Crazy fans in different hues and colours go ballistic for second ODI at VCA Stadium

Nagpur: Swarms and swarms of enthusiastic fans made their way to VCA’s Stadium in Jamtha here as the second One Day International between India and Australia got off to a roaring start.

According to reports, Australia won the toss and asked India to bat. After losing openers Dhawan and Sharma, skipper Kohli (21) is looking to steady India’s innings and is hoping for good support from Rayudu (eight) at the other end.

Donning different hues and colours, the crazy and passionate cricket fans went ballistic while traversing to the stadium and enjoyed the pre-match myriad moments. The emotions and enthusiasm was to be seen and believed. Young girls in plenty also marched towards the stadium in their own style.

Fans love to dress up for the occasion. A fan was seen in the attires of Lord Shiva. Mahashivratri was celebrated across the city with great religious fervour yesterday only.

Many fans had tricolour painted on their faces, carrying national flag, they demonstrated their impassionate support for the nation. That is why for many in India, cricket is more than just a sport. Some fans carried posters of their respective cricketing idols. Most of them Virat Kohli, M S Dhoni, Rahul Sharma. The Australian team would soon know how vocal the fans would be in support of their favourite Men in Blue. Pitched shouts and blowing of conch shell reverberated in the ground.
