Nagpur News: A businessman who had rented a shop at Empress Mall from its owner KSL Industries has filed complaint against KSL in the first class judicial magistrate court in Nagpur. Chandra Rudhwani, owner of a company named Victory International has alleged that KSL has got the lock of his rented shop broken and handed it over to Milo Kidswear Company.

Taking serious cognisance of Rudhwani’s complaint, the court has ordered Ganeshpeth police to register the case against KSL and Milo Kidswear Co. and conduct an inquiry into the matter.

In 2011, Rudhwani had taken a block no. 232 on second floor of Empress Mall from KSL Industries. The lease period agreed was till 5 years. Rudhwani had given an advance of Rs 3.29 lakh to KSL. Later he deposited Rs 15 lakh with KSL and started a shop under banner Gold Beatle.

Rudhwani has alleged that though KSL promised him various facilities but not a single was fulfilled. The block was not completely constructed, air conditioning lied defunct and there was no security at all. Though he complained about the irregularities many a times, it only fell on the deaf ears of KSL’s managers.

He alleged that KSL later broke the lock of his shop and swept away goods worth lakhs of rupees. The owner then let off the shop to another party Milo Kidswear Company.

When he went to Ganeshpeth police station to lodge complaint in this regard, the cops did not adhere to his appeal. Finally, Rudhwani moved to the court where the magistrate ordered probe against both KSL and Milo Kidswear Company.
