Nagpur: A con couple duped a job-seeking woman to the tune Rs 80,000 by promising her a post of Staff Nurse at a government hospital. The husband-wife duo has been booked.
The accused, Prakash Ajabrao Meshram and Sandhya Prakash Meshram, both residents of Bhim Chowk, Indora, promised Veena Satish Kapse (35) of Vakilpeth a job of Staff Nurse at a government hospital. In return, the accused couple took Rs 80,000 from Veena. However, the husband-wife duo neither kept their word nor returned the money to Veena with the intention of duping her. Realising she has been cheated, Veena registered a case with Imambada police against the couple.
PSI Mohekar has booked Prakash and Sandhya Meshram under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
