The counseling round (CAP Round 3) for admissions to various Polytechnic colleges for 2014-15 under Centralized Admission Process (CAP) along with other related activities will begin from Wednesday, August 13 to 14, . Under this round, admissions will be handed out to the students in various colleges including autonomous colleges, state government-run aided colleges. Besides these admissions, seats of unaided colleges will also be filled under the counseling round.
In Nagpur Division there are total 25691 seats in 71 Polytechnic Colleges. Till the second CAP round 18808 applications were registered and 16743 seats were confirmed.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is conducting the admissions. According to the DTE Notification, during the counseling round, all the available seats will be treated as ‘General Seats’ and shall be allotted solely on the basis of merits of eligible candidates.
The counseling round of admission will be conducted for the candidates of the respective districts whose names have appeared in final merit list and are also eligible to participate in CAP Round-3.
List of candidates for CAP Round-3 and their home districts as well as list of District Counseling Centres with institutes attached to those Counseling Centres will be displayed on the website http:/www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/poly2014.
Seats available at every district counseling center shall include vacant seats of all institutes participating in CAP in that district only. Candidates who report to the counseling centre will be offered admission for available seats only.
Candidates who secure admission in this round will have to confirm the admission on the spot by paying non refundable fees of Rs 3000 in cash and by producing necessary documents and the balance fees by August 18 at the respective institute.
All unaided institutes will fill the seats remaining vacant after the counseling round up to August 22, 2014.
