Cops rescue 16-year old girl, forced into flesh trade, from Ganga-Jamuna; pimp escapes net

Nagpur News: Lakadganj police, in a major operation, rescued a minor girl who was forced into flesh trade in Nagpur’s infamous Ganga-Jamuna area on the eve of Rakshabandhan. However, the woman ‘Dalal’ (pimp) escaped the police net and a hunt has been launched to nab her.

According to police, acting on a tip-off, Assistant Police Inspector (API) Ravi Rathod of Lakadganj Police Station and his team raided ground floor of Billo Kalkhor building situated in Ganga-Jamuna area at about 1850 hours on Saturday (August 9). The police team found the woman pimp Reshma Nirmal Kalkhor, after luring the 16-year old girl with handsome money, was forcing her to indulge in flesh trade in the premises. API Rathod and his team immediately rescued the minor girl from the hell. However, the woman pimp managed to give a slip to police and vanished from the spot.

An offence in this connection has been registered with Lakadganj police. Senior Police Inspector S K Jaiswal has booked the accused woman pimp Reshma Nirmal Kalkhor under Section 366(A) of the IPC and Sub-Sections 3,4,5,7 of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) and has launched a hunt to nab her.
