Cops register cases against protesters for demonstrating without prior permission: Bhima-Koregaon violence

Nagpur: The police have registered cases against several people who demonstarted to protest against the Bhima-Koregaon violence. The cases were registered for protesting without prior permission. The cases have been registered against people for taking out rallies, burning tyres, road blockade and for stone pelting. The cases have been registered in various police station the city.

To vent their anger against the Bhima-Koregaon violence people had taken to streets and registered their protest in various ways. The police had already issued orders so that such unpleasant events do not take place. Sitabuldi police station registered maximum cases against the agitators. Here 14 cases were registered against 400 people.

In Jaripatka police station 300, Panchapoli police station registered cases against 140 persons for demonstarting without permission and forcibly closing down the shops. According to the police due to forcible closure of shops there has been a loss of Rs 10 lakh. In Ajni 40 cases were registered. In Kamptee and Ramtek of rural Nagpur cases were registered for stone pelting.
