Cops raid hookah party at Hideout Restaurant in Empress Mall

Nagpur: Ganeshpeth Police on Friday night raided a hookah parlor running at Hideout Lounge and Restaurant located at the third floor of the Empress Mall and arrested 38 people including its owner.

According to sources, DCP Gajanan Rajmane received a tip-off on Friday that a hookah parlour was running here.Following which, Ganeshpeth police, on the instructions of DCP Rajmane, raided the parlour at around 10 pm.

The cops found parlour owner Yogesh Narayan Kiranapure and his brother Vaibhav Kiranapure hosting a hookah party with the people. Police took 38 people into custody, including the Kiranapure brothers, their friends, customers, and employees.

Most of the people were also consuming alcohol along with hookah. Police took everyone into custody and brought them to the police station.

The cops also seized Rs 19,000 cash, hookahs, and liquor bottles. The police also got all the arrested people medically examined and found that many of them were in a state of intoxication.
