Cops nab four burglars within hours of theft

Pachpaoli police have arrested four burglars within hours of theft and recovered the stolen stuff in the wee hours of Saturday, September 6.

According to police, at about 2300-2330 hours of Friday, the accused Dixit Bhagvan Janbandhu (31), resident of Baba Buddha Nagar, near Corporation School, Akash Kishore Pantaone (19), resident of Vaishali Nagar, Vikas alias Vikram Rambhau Ambade (20), resident of Vaishali Nagar, and Sheikh Salam Sheikh Karim (23), resident of Teka, Tajnagar, taking advantage of open door, entered the house of Shevanti Rajesh Suryavanshi (32) located in Vaishali Nagar, near Ganesh Mandir and stole gold jewellery and a cash of Rs 70,000 collectively valued at Rs 95,000 by breaking open a steel almirah. However, the theft came to notice of Shevanti who immediately informed the Pachpaoli police. PSI Tayade and his team swung into action and apprehended all the four accused within hours of theft in the wee hours of Saturday. The four accused were booked under Sections 380, 34 of the IPC and placed under arrest.
