Cops crack the whip, put circulators of nasty content through social networking on notice

Nagpur News: Finally, Nagpur Police have decided to crack the whip. After receiving a flood of complaints regarding objectionable content like obscene, lascivious pictures, video, message being circulated by miscreants by using social networking sites like Facebook, Orkut, YouTube and WhatsApp messenger on mobiles, police have put the circulators on notice.

According to a press release, the Nagpur Police have appealed the citizens to remain alert and report to the nearest police station about such miscreants who indulge in circulating the objectionable content. The main aim of police move is to curb such anti-social activities that tend to deprave and corrupt the persons who are likely to read, see or hear the same. The miscreants, in connivance with each other and other unknown persons are found circulating the objectionable content and thus promoting hatred or communal disharmony from their respective websites.

It may be mentioned, such contents are continuously, openly and freely available to everyone who is using the said network irrespective of their age and even the persons under the age of 18 years have full and uncensored access to such obscene contents.
