Cops arrest two history-sheeters in Sakkardara

Nagpur News: Sakkadara police, on Thursday, have arrested two history-sheeters for opening firearms against the complainant and attempting to end his life.
According to information, cops have arrested Mujaid Ahmed Ashraf Sultan (30), a resident of Sudam Puri, behind Lad Hospital, and Mohammad Akram Mohammad Aslam (23), a resident of Bada Tajabad for opening fire at the complainant Wasim alias Raja Khan alias Iqbal Khan (26), a resident of Sindiban Bada Tajabad.

According to police, the accused had a verbal duel with Wasim over some trivial issue on October 19 at around 10.30 pm. Enraged over evasion of area, the accused opened fire on Wasim. Luckily, the bullet missed Wasim and hit the window of Indigo car (MH 31 CR 3883).

On the complaint of Wasim, Sakkardara police registered a case on Thursday and arrested the accused under Sections 307, and 34 read with sub sections 3+25 of the IPC and 135 of Mumbai Police Act.

It is to be noted that Mujaid and Akram belong Abu gang while Wasim belongs to Afzal gang. A tiff between the two gangs was making rounds in the area since 1995. However, tension increased after the hearing in the related case in past few days. But police are not opening up on the issue and keeping on the gang war that took place on October 19.
