Cops arrest four bootleggers with stock of liquor bound for prohibited Chandrapur District

Nagpur.

Ganeshpeth police on Friday arrested four bootleggers and seized a large quantity of liquor meant for transporting to prohibited Chandrapur District. Prohibition has come into force in Chandrapur from April 1, 2015 in accordance with a decision of BJP Government in State.

The cops had received a tip-off that some persons were carrying a stock of liquor brought from Madhya Pradesh and transporting it to Chandrapur by illegal ways and means. With the tip-off, a police team laid a trap and arrested the four bootleggers at Jadhav Nagar Square. The arrested accused are in the age group of 19-22 years and a stock of liquor worth Rs 48,000 was seized from their possession.
