    Constitution Day celebrated at PIGCE

    A programme was organised to mark Constitution Day at Priyadrshini Indira Gandhi College (PIGCE) of Engineering on Friday. November 26 is celebrated as the Constituition Day in India. It is also known as the Samvidhan Divas. The day is celebrated in honour of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. On this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it went into effect on 26 January 1950. 26 November was chosen to spread the importance of the constitution and to spread thoughts and ideas of Dr. Ambedkar. To mark the occasion, Principal of PIGCE Dr. R. V Kshirsagar and all the faculty members of the college gathered together and read the Preamble to the Constitution as well as discussed the importance of the day.
