New Delhi: Congress leader Imran Masood on Friday courted a controversy as he likened Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a ‘sadak chhaap’. Taking a dig at the PM over his reaction to Rahul Gandhi’s hug in the Lok Sabha during no-confidence motion last week, Masood said that PM Modi should have replied to Congress President’s hug in a decent manner rather by snapping fingers and clapping in the House like a ‘sadak chhaap’.
“Modi ji ko hi to gale lagaya tha Rahul ji ne, Nawaz Sharif ya Imran Khan ko to nahi. Agar apne pradhan mantri ko gale laga liya to pradhan mantri ko shaleenta ke saath jawab dena chahiye tha.
Pradhan mantri ji haath phaink phaink kar, chutkiya baja baja kar, taaliyaan baja kar aise act kar rahe the jaise koi sadak chaap vyakti ho, pradhan mantri na bol raha ho (Rahul Gandhi gave a hug to PM Modi only and not Nawaz Sharif or Imran Khan.
