Nagpur: Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel has expressed optimism about the Congress party’s prospects in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. During his visit to Nagpur, Baghel highlighted the successful distribution of tickets, noting that “most of the tickets have been distributed, and they have been done very well.” Baghel acknowledged that while some candidate preferences couldn’t be accommodated, the party is actively engaging with all members to ensure unity and commitment to the election campaign.
Speaking with ANI, Baghel emphasized the positive feedback received from Congress supporters across Maharashtra, adding, “We are getting good signals.” His two-day visit to Nagpur included four strategic meetings, underlining Congress’s focused approach in key constituencies.
In a recent update, Congress released a new list of 14 candidates, making key adjustments such as replacing Sachin Sawant with Ashok Jadhav for the Andheri West seat. With only two days left for candidate nominations, Congress appears resolute, signaling readiness for the electoral contest ahead.
