Colors of India come alive at this vibrant I-Day event

Nagpur Today.

The celebration has just set in, and the fervour is certainly being felt in the air. Followed by the Friendship’s Day and Independence Day, Nagpurians are set to soak in festive revellery in the coming days.

Travelling back to recall a vibrant independence do, we take a look at a unique pre I-Day celebration. Well as the mood of patriotism floats, so is the theme of the party. Set upon the topic, “Unity in Diversity – the colours of India “, the guests at the exuberantly followed the theme, as all of them turned up in attires symbolic to the culture of the different states of India.

A contest was also synced with the dressing culture. Mrs Trupati Govind Rathi got 1st prize for her Rajasthani attire, Suman dass got 2nd prize for North East costume & Vartika Oberoi got 3 rd prize in Bengali costume.

A Slogan contest on ‘unity in diversity ‘ was also thrown open where the participants came up with wonderful lines dedicated to the praise of nation. Anita Rao & Dr Shraddha Prashant got first & second prize respectively.

And what a party without fun? Games unleashed fresh bout of excitement and further instilled energy into the party. A game based on general knowledge about Indian history & Independence Day was enjoyed by all the members. The fun was followed by Housie, fun filled activities, yummy lunch & ladies chit chat
