Nagpur News: Till date, only 9,500 students from Nagpur division, have made online applications for 26,000 seats in 60 engineering colleges. The Thursday is the last day of filing online applications. Looking at this, it is being speculated that this year seats in engineering colleges will remain vacant in much larger scale.

After MT-CET results were announced, it was said that over 15,000 seats in engineering colleges affiliated to RTMNagpur University and Gondwana University will remain vacant. The speculation may turn right. Only 2,085 students out of 32,000 students appeared for the exam have managed to score 100 or above marks. Considering that seats will remain vacant, the engineering colleges resorted to various tactics to attract students towards them.

On the third day of admission process, 2,700 students filed online applications. OnThursday, the authorities are expecting that number will grow.

Though main engineering colleges are confident that their seats will not remain vacant, other colleges are a worried lot now. There is no doubt that seats will remain vacant on large scale.
