    CMCA organizes competition for eco friendly Ganesh idols


    Nagpur News: Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA) in association with the Sir Gangadharrao Chitnavis Trust has organised a competition for eco friendly Ganesh idols making for students of 7th & 8th std. at Rangayan, Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines, Nagpur . This competition aimed at encouraging children to make eco-friendly and creative idols. Children used their creativity. They made idols using clay, pulses, coconut shelves, dough etc. Total 121 students from 19 schools participated in the competition. All participants thoroughly enjoyed making the idols.

    The prizes were – 1st prize Sony camera; 2nd Prize ipod Shuffle; 3rd prize Gift vouchers of Crossword and two consolation prizes i.e. fast track watches.

    The winners of the competition are –

    1st Prize – Mst. Atharva Dahikar, Centre Point School, Katol Road

    2nd Prize – Mst. Animesh Dolikar, CDS School

    3rd Prize – Smera Mehta, Centre Point School, Katol Road

    Consolation Prize – Mst. Vivek Poddar, CDS School & Mst. Kavyesh Kewalramani, Centre Point School, Katol Road

    The chief guest of the program was Kundatai Vijaykar, Ex-Mayor. The panel of judges were Ravi Prakash Singh; Madhuri Kale, Madhavi Naidu and Dr. Vinod Indurkar.

    From Chitnavis Trust, Awantika Chitnavis, Trustee and CMCA volunteers were present. Rupali Kale and Pranoti Gadre conducted the prize distribution program.

    Vijay Ghuge, President, Nisarg Vigyan Sanstha; Suresh Pathak, President, HastaShilpi Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha spoke on the occasion.
