CMAT begins simultaneously in the 62 cities including foreign countries for MBA, PGDM

Nagpur News: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has started the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for 2014-15 from today (Thursday) and the Online exam will continue till September 30. The CMAT has been made mandatory for Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Post Graduation Diploma in Management (PGDM). The results of the CMAT would be declared on October 20. The exam is being conducted at two centres in Nagpur.

2400 STUDENTS:

A total of 480 candidates are appearing for the CMAT daily. The grand total would stand at 2400 candidates giving the Test for five days. The second CMAT will be conducted in February for 2014-15. The AICTE is conducting CMAT simultaneously in 62 cities including Kuala Lumpur, Kabul, Kathmandu, Lagos and Dubai. The students can Log In on the website www.aicte-cmat.in for admit cards. The two centres in Nagpur where the CMAT is being held are NIT Graduate School of Management, Katol Road and Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Institute of Management , Congress Nagar.

EXAM PATTERN:

The CMAT comprises four subjects namely Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness. Each paper is of 100 marks with 25 questions and time period is 45 minutes. Every correct answer will fetch 4 marks and a wrong answer will deduct 1 mark.
