CM to open Coffee Table Books depicting dazzling photos of Raj Bhavans in State

Nagpur News: The Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan will inaugurate the publication of Coffee Table Books depicting the glorious and historic photographs of Raj Bhavans in Maharashtra. There are three Raj Bhavans in Maharashtra which are offices and residences of the Governor. The Raj Bhavans are in Mumbai, the Second Capital City of Nagpur and Pune.

The Chief Minister will inaugurate the publication of Books “Maharashtratil Rajbhavane: Vaibhavshali Itihasachi Sakshidar” in Marathi and “Raj Bhavans of Maharashtra: Witness to Glory” in English at 5.30 pm on Thursday (October 17) in the presence of Governor K. Shankarnarayanan. The Chairman of Maharashtra Council Shivajirao Deshmukh and Speaker of Maharashtra Assembly Dilip-Walse Patil will also grace the function. The Coffe Table Books of Raj Bhavans are in the form of dazzling and colourful photographs. Initially, the Coffee Table Books would be distributed to the guests of the country and foreign nations.

The Raj Bhavans in Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune are more than a century old. Before Independence, the British Governor’s Raj Bhavan was known as “Government House”.

The eminent photographer Sudhakar Olave has done the photography for the Coffee Table Books while Spenta Multimedia Insititute has published them. The Books contain Introduction and Forewords by the Governor K. Shankarnarayanan.
