Nagpur: Guru Nanak Jayanti also known as ‘Guru Nanak’s Prakash Utsav’ was observed with religious fervor by our Sikh brethren. Our Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who is in the city too visited Kasturchand Park Grounds where a programme was organized by Sikh brethren to celebrate ‘Guru Nanak’s Prakash Utsav’ on November 6, 2014.
He was welcomed by Chairman and Managing Director of Guru Nanak Institutions Nagpur Navnit Singh Tuli welcomed CM Devendra Fadnavis at the gate. As is the custom, his head was adorned with a scar called Safa. Prominent people including Tejinder Singh Renu, MLA from North Nagpur Dr Milind Mane were present on the occasion. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis enjoyed listening to the reciting hymns in praise of Guru Nanak Sahab.
