CM Devendra Fadnavis visits Gosikhurd

Nagpur: The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis visited Gosikhurd Project on August 16, 2015. He reviewed the ongoing work on the project. However, the Chief Minister did not meet the Gosikhurd Project affected people, which irked them and they expressed their anger towards him.

IMG_2949Around two thousand people from the Save the Gosikhurd Project Affected People Committee gathered and burnt the effigy of the Chief Minister and raised anti Chief Minister slogans.

The Chairman of the Gosikhurd Project Affected People Committee Vilas Bhongade alleged the government and the Chief Minister have disrespected the problems of the Gosikhurd Project Affected People.

Vials Bhongade also claimed that Gosikhurd Project Affected People have been agitating for their rights for a long time. They had a lot of hopes from the Chief Minister.  However, Chief Minister ignoring their plight and not meeting them was a bad let down of their hopes.

Chief Minister assures the redress of the project affected soon

Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the long pending Gosikhurd Project on August 16, 2015. He himself inspected the project and minutely reviewed the on-going project. It could be mentioned here that even after the new government came to the power, no significant change in the pace of the project is observed. The completion of the project is still going on in a snail’s pace. After becoming the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited the project for the first time. Chief Minister has claimed that the project will start moving fast towards the completion.

IMG_2948While speaking about the rehabilitation of the Gosikhurd Project Affected People, Chief Minister said that the government will begin with a fresh start and newer mode. He said that a fresh inspection and review of the compensation amount and method for the Gosikhurd Project Affected People is being done.

According to Devendra Fadnavis, he has directed the officials to submit a fresh report after conducting a fresh survey and review and that the government will consider a better compensation package to the Gosikhurd Project Affected People.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has claimed that not only is the project in his area but a project in which he has special interest, therefore to solve and redress the grievances of the Gosikhurd Project Affected People is of primary object or of top priority.

Apart from the Gosikhurd Project, the Chief Minister also got a review report from the officials of Borkhedi Project.
