Nagpur:
The young and going Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has one long nursed wish – That Nagpur should have a press club. And his dream came true on Saturday as he dedicated PWD’s Swati Bungalow near Maharajbagh here for the press club. Fadnavis also announced that a new colony will be formed for the journalists at a separate place in Nagpur.

Sharing his dream on the occasion Fadnavis said that he had always thought that Nagpur should also have a press club on the lines of Mumbai. “I often visited Mumbai Press Club where the journalists are warm and supportive. Now that Nagpur has got its share of Press Club, I am very glad at the moment,” he said.

The chief minister informed that instead of looking for a land for Nagpur press club we were zeroing in on some PWD’s building. “Then we shortlisted Swati bungalow. Since the transfer requires judicial procedures, Justice Bhushan Gawai took the meeting. Soon the building will be readied as per the needs of Press Club,” he assured.

Fadnavis also assured that the existing Tilak Patrakar Bhawan will also be made better through government’s support.
