Nagpur: In a major heist, two motorcycle-borne miscreants robbed a readymade cloth trader of over Rs 7 lakh in Jaripatka area on Friday night. Cops have mounted a search to apprehend the robbers.

The trader Harish Jehumal Talreja (47), resident of Plot No. 23, Indira Colony, runs a readymade salwar suit shop A S D Fabrics in Ganjakhet. On Friday night he closed his shop and started going home along with his relative Sunny Motwani on a two-wheeler (MH-31/BS 2903). Around 10.20 pm, when Harish and Subby reached near Ganesh Temple on Nara Road, two unidentified muggers, aged 30-35 years and riding a red-coloured motorcycle came near them and hit Harish on his head with a blunt object. The hit jolted Harish and even before he could know what happened to him, the two motorcycle-borne goons snatched a black-coloured bag he was carrying and sped away. The bag contained cash of Rs 7.10 lakh.
