Cloth trader robbed of Rs 1.75 lakh, gold booty by bike-borne goons in Pachpaoli

Nagpur: In yet another incident of road robbery, a cloth trader was looted of Rs 1.75 lakh in cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 30,000 by two motorcycle-borne miscreants in busy Dr Ambedkar Road in Pachpaoli area here on Monday night. The two robbers are being hunted by cops.

The victim cloth trader Jaipal Suresh Budhani (33), resident of Plot No. 15, Bank Colony, Jaripatka, ownsOn Monday night, Jaipal along with his cousin brother closed his shop and proceeded to home on Activa moped (MH-31/BU 1233). Jaipal was carrying Rs 1.75 lakh of business money and gold ornaments worth Rs 30,000 in a handbag. Mid way when Jaipal and his cousin brother reached near Ajay Medical Stores on Dr Ambedkar Road, the two unidentified ruffians, riding on a CBZ motorcycle, came from behind, snatched the handbag containing the cash and gold booty and speeded away even before the cloth trader sense the trouble and raise an alarm. The only thing Jaipal could do was to approach Pachpaoli Police Station and register a case.

Pachpaoli API J R Bhonsale has booked the two unidentified robbers under Sections 392, 34 of IPC and hunting them.
