New Delhi: A Class 9 student was found unconscious in the washroom of a school in northeast Delhi’s Khajuri Khas on Thursday. He was rushed to the GTB Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.

While parents of the 14-year-old boy alleged that he was beaten up by some students and left to die in the washroom, police said there were no injury marks on Tusshar Kumar’s body.

Three students have been detained in connection with the death of the student. According to police, five people including the deceased were seen fighting inside the bathroom in CCTV footage.

A police complaint was filed against unknown people. Boy’s classmates and students who found Tushar unconscious in the washroom are being questioned by the police.

Though the school administration claimed that he was suffering loose motions, the boy’s family alleged that he had a fight with some students and was thrashed, police said.

Police also questioned his classmates and the students who had found him in an unconscious state in the bathroom.

Local residents along with the boy’s family members staged a protest at the Karawal Nagar Chowk and demanded a probe into the matter.
