    Chief Minister Chavan to dedicate, perform “Bhumipujan” of NIT’s projects on Tuesday

    Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan will dedicate and perform “Bhumipujan” (Ground breaking ceremony) of Nagpur Improvement Trust’s (NIT) various projects on Tuesday (October 1) in Nagpur.  Following are the projects which the Chief Minister will dedicate to public and perform “Bhumipujan.”


    The Chief Minister will perform “Bhumipujan”  of Training Centre building named after the late Wamanrao Godbole, Associate of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Shantivan, Chicholi, Museum Renovation, and construction of Annexe Building of Vipasthana Centre at 2 pm.

    “BHUMIPUJAN” AT 2.45 PM:

    After the 2 pm programme, the Chief Minister will proceed to North Nagpur where he will again perform “Bhumipujan” of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Convention Centre and Guru Govind Singh Stadium at 2.45 pm.


    The Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan then drive to Sitabuldi and dedicate NIT Multilevel Car Parking Plaza to public at 3.15 pm.


    Chavan will then proceed to Bhamti and dedicate Mahatma Jyotiba Fuley Sports Complex at 3.45 pm.


    The last programme of the Chief Minister will be to perform “Bhumipujan” of Beautification Work in the premises of Hazrat Tajuddin Baba Motha Tajbagh on Umred Road at 4 pm.

    All these programmes will be attended prominently by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Guardian Minister Shivajirao Moghe, EGS Minister Nitin Raut, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anil Deshmukh, Minister of State for Finance Rajendra Mulak, Minister of State for Urban Development Uday Samant, Nagpur MP Vilas Muttemwar, Ramtek MP Mukul Wasnik, Rajya Sabha Member Vijay Darda, Rajya Sabha Member Avinash Pande, Rajya Sabha Member Ajay Sancheti, former BJP President Nitin Gadkari, MLA Devendra Fadnavis, MLA Sunil Kedar, MLA Sudhakar Deshmukh, MLA Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLA Aashish Jaiswal, MLA Krishna Khopde, MLA Vikas Kumbhare, MLA Vijay Ghodmare, MLA Sudhir Parve, MLC Mago Ganar, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning, K P Bakshi, Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department (2) Srikant Singh, Secretary, Social Justice and Special Relief Department R D Shinde, and Divisional Commissioner V Venugopal Reddy.

    Similarly, the Trusties of NIT Dinanath Padole, MLA, Avinash Thakre, Anantrao Gharad, Kishore Kanhere, Shyam Wardhane, Saurabh Rao, Ravindra Bhoyar and R D Lande would be present on the occasions.

    The Chairman of the NIT Pravin Darade and Superintending Engineer Sunil Gujjelwar have requested the citizens to attend the programmes in large numbers.
