Many people from Nagpur and adjoining towns have purchased plots from Pawansut Real Estate and Developers, Chhatrapati square, Wardha Road, Nagpur on instalment basis. All these people have paid many instalments and huge sums of money towards purchase of plots. However, the firm has not done registrations for these investors. Similarly, no possession document or power of attorney has been executed. The concerned investors are now fed up with paying visits to Pawansut Developers office. Many complaints have been filed in this regard. One of the victims is the complainant, Vijendra Ashok Goje, 39, a resident of, Kothi Road, Mahal, Nagpur who along with other people has been cheated in the matter to the tune of Rs 50 to 60 lakhs.
The offences have therefore been filed against, 1) Santosh Kondbaji Burrewar (deceased) 2) Suresh Kondbaji Burrewar, a resident of, Manish Nagar, Nagpur under sections 406, 420 and 34 of IPC and Section 3 of MPID Act. The search operations are going on at the office and house of the accused.
Police-inspector, Bhoye of Economic Offences Wing, Nagpur city is investigating into the matter. The search operations are being carried out by police constable, Mahendra Sarode, Chakradhar Raut, Anil Dhanole, Kavita Patil. The officers guiding the operations are police inspector, Pawar, Nalawade and police inspector, Murkute.
It is said that many such complaints have been filed at various police stations and the matter involved is likely to run into crores of rupees.
