Nagpur: Recently, Nagpur Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India inaugurated the very first batch of `Certificate Course on Ind AS’. The inaugural event was duly graced by well known industrialist of Central India, Chairman & Managing Director of Confidence Petroleum India Ltd., Nitin Khara.
Nitin Khara shared his apt views while speaking as Chief Guest at the Certificate Course on Ind AS, proudly hosted by Nagpur Branch of ICAI. He remarked that the urge amongst the Chartered Accountants to keep themselves constantly updated through crucial courses like the one being – `Certificate Course on Ind AS’, lends remarkable edge to the fraternity to effectively serve the clients and society at large. To motivate the members present, he shared his life cycle with open heart. He shared that he still remembers the grievance of members of his family to stand in queue for hours & sometimes even days together to get the LPG cylinder. However, taking it positively, he decided there itself to explore himself and his skills as an entrepreneur in the business of LPG cylinder manufacturing, bottling plants, etc. He termed the gist of his decision to be the urge to effectively serve the society and nation at large by bringing ease in the process of acquiring the basic need of LPG in our day to day lives. He appealed the members present to remain always duly determined and proactive in life to enjoy all sorts of colors of success. He added that we get multiple opportunities in life and we should adopt the required skills to adopt these opportunities. For that continuous learning and self development is very important to be capable enough at the required time
CA Julfesh Shah, Member of PR & CSR Committee of the ICAI, New Delhi and past Vice Chairman of WIRC of ICAI, present on the occasion as Guest of Honour, lend due support for the course to be hosted by Nagpur Branch. He in his unique style duly guided the members present as regards the opportunities available after getting duly qualified in the course on hand. The knowledge and concepts of Ind AS, in the constantly changing accounting world is essential, he duly remarked. He congratulated and lauded the efforts of Nagpur Branch of ICAI for taking due efforts for the sake of CA members in organizing various courses, seminars, certificate courses, etc. He took no time to connect with the members present and duly motivated them for ensuring success and prosperity in the respective professional lives of members present.
CA Sandeep Jotwani, Chairman of Nagpur branch of ICAI, in his welcome remarks, extended heartfelt thanks to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and more specifically the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board Committee, to enable the branch to host such important Certificate Course. He informed the guests present that after getting duly qualified as a CA, such course with extensive class room study for 12 days and 60 hours, are essentially going to make the members present duly enriched about the knowledge and concepts of very important Ind AS. He congratulated the participants for being the ones having registered in the maiden Certificate Course on Ind AS and wished them fruitful learning. He informed the members present about various past events of the branch. He also gave knowledge of the future events lined up for the sake of members of the city.
The inaugural session was coordinated by CA Kirit Kalyani, Treasurer of the branch and formal vote of thanks was proposed by CA Suren Duragkar, Secretary of the branch.
