Nagpur: In a “Viru-style” stunt that put the cops in a tizzy and aroused curiosity among the onlookers, a woman hailing from Chandrapur District Sonubai Yevale climbed up a tower at Nagpur Tehsil office. It is learnt that the “Viru” (Sonubai) of Chandrpur was demanding grants for Ashram Shala, independent ration cards for inmates of the Ashram Shala and other various demands.
Later, the rattled and baffled cops with the help of Fire Brigade personnel climbed up the tower and persuaded Sonubai to give up her “stunt” and accompany them in their snorkel. After great efforts and persuasion, Sonubai Yevale alias “Viru” was brought down much to the relief of onlookers and the tensed cops, as well.
Sonubai ostensibly resorted to the Sholay-style stunt to draw attention of Government that is sitting in Nagpur for Winter Session towards various demands raised by her.
