Nagpur: Wathoda police have booked the Chairman of S P Public School and another person on the charges of duping many people to the tune of Rs 2.21 crore in a dubious land deal.
The accused Chairman, Sanjay Shriram Pendharkar (52), resident of Plot No. 559, Hiwari Layout, built the school named S P Public School on a portion of his land at Bahadura, Hiwri Layout in 2009-10. The accused Pendhatrkar sold the plots to the complainant, Gajanan Dnyaneshwar Nishankar (64), resident of Plot No. 71, near NIT Garden, Uday Nagar and 17 others between February 14, 2017 till to date. Pendharkar took Rs 2.21 crore from them and prepared sale deeds/power of attorney/possession papers in their names.
