Chain snatching in Ambazhari area

Nagpur: Yet another case of chain snatching occurred on August 9, 2015 when two unidentified goons snatched the Mangalsutra and fled from the scene. The cost of the Mangalsutra is said to be Rupees Sixty Thousand.
According to police sources, the victim identified as Seema Rajesh Tiwari aged 50 years and a resident of Ashok Square, Akola was going along with her niece on August 9, 2015. On the cement road from Shankar Nagar Square to Ram-Nagar, hit opposite to the HDFC Bank, two motorbike borne unidentified youth in the age group of 20-25 years snatched the Mangalsutra from the victim and fled the scene.

Immediately after the incident, the victim Seema Rajesh Tiwari rushed to Ambazhari Police Station and lodged a complaint with the cops there. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim, the Ambazhari Police registered a case against the two unidentified accused under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
