Chain snatchers have a field day, three snatchings reported

On May 21, the complainant, Mohd Imtiaz Nizamuddin Ali, 49, a resident of, Thakur plots, Teachers’ Colony, plot no. 198, New Bidipeth reported that her daughter Mahiya, 15, was going to tuition class on Dasara Road on her scooter. When she reached Kotwali police station area, near Mehandi Lawns a 22-23 year youth came on black motorcycle and forcibly snatched her necklace and locket collectively valued at Rs 30,000/ . On the report of the complainant  Kotwali  police have registered offence under section 392 of IPC. Police sub-inspector, Kendre is investigating into the matter.

In second similar incident, which occurred in Shivnagar a gold mangalsutra was snatched. It is reported that on May 21 around 12-45 when the complainant, Indirabai Prabhakar Bobatkar, 60, a resident of, Plot no. 182, Shivnagar, Nagpur was coming from Itwari in a cycle rickshaw. At this time 2 persons in age group of 20-30 came on black motor cycle and snatched her gold mangalsutra valued at Rs 40,000/ On the report of the complainant   Kotwali police have registered offence under sections 392, 34 of IPC. Police sub-inspector, Tiwari is investigating into the matter.

In yet another chain snatching case, is reported on May 21 around 6-50 when by, Priya Abhilash Gupta, 48, a resident of, Moraka Layout, Bangalow no. 2, Bachelor Road, Wardha. While she going by her daughter’s car, MH 32/W/3097 towards Rahate Colony, near Vivek Apartment, Ramdaspeth, a youth approximately around 22, came on black motorcycle and snatched her chain along with locket valued at Rs 35,000/  Sitabuldi police sub-inspector, Karmalwar has registered an offence under section 392 of IPC on the complaint of  Priya Gupta.
