Central Railway’s ASTHA Cell resolving plaints of its employees instantly, 1078 sorted out

DRM.CR.Nagpur O.P.SinghNagpur: The “ASTHA Cell” of Central Railway, Nagpur has come as blessing for hundreds of its employees in resolving their problems of varied nature. The ASTHA (Assistance to Staff Through Instant Action) Cell has so far received 1099 complaints from November 17, 2011 to August 2014. Out of these complaints, 1078 complaints were resolved instantly giving relief to the employees and also helping them serve the Railways with added vigour which ultimately proves beneficial to passengers. The process for settling the remaining 21 complaints is going on in various departments.

The “ASTHA Cell” was set up on November 17, 2011 and functioning successfully under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager O P Singh. The complaints redressal mechanism was set up in consonance of today’s changing scenario and high expectations of employees. Following are details of complaints received by “ASTHA Cell”:

A total of 200 complaints were registered by employees in the period from November 17, 2011 to March 2012 and all the complaints were sorted out. Similarly, 364 grievances were put forth in the period from April 2012 to March 2013 and solution to all the complaints was found out. In the period from April 2013 to March 2014, 402 complaints were registered and all of them were hammered out while the number of complaints recorded from April 2014 till August 2014 stood at 133. Out of this number, 112 complaints were resolved and the process for finding solution to remaining 21 grievances is in progress at various departments, said a press release issued by Central Railway, Nagpur.

Apart from resolving the complaints received at “ASTHA Cell,” many complaints received on phone are instantly sorted out. Many complaints redressal camps are also conducted at different railway stations. The “ASTHA Cell” is monitored regularly by Additional Divisional Railway Manager Jaideep Gupta.
