
The Nagpur Division earned Rs 738.11 crore in April-July 2014 on account of goods freight tariff which is 12.9 percent more than the revenue of Rs 653.94 crore last year for the same period. It mopped up Rs 167.10 crore in the month of July alone and thus recorded 43.6 percent increase as compared to corresponding period last year. The Nagpur Division had earned Rs 116.34 crore last year for the same period.
Nagpur Division of Central Railway pocketed Rs 145.92 crore from passenger traffic in the month of April-July this year which is 21.7 percent more than the revenue of Rs 119.92 crore it earned last year for the same period. The Division filled its coffers by Rs 37.02 crore in the month of July alone, an increase of 32.7 percent as compared to corresponding period last year. It had earned Rs 27.90 crore last year for the same period, a press release issued by P D Patil, PRO, Nagpur Division of Central Railway said.
