Celebrations outside Umesh Yadav’s residence

Nagpur: After the initial tense spell in the match, the residence of Vidarbha Express Umesh Yadav echoed with cheer as the team resurrected and gained control over the match. Yadav took two quick wickets and raised the spirit of the team and the entire nation on Sunday.

February 15, 2015 will remain a memorable day for Umesh Yadav and his family who saw their dreams being turned to reality. Yadav did not just represent India in the World Cup for the first time, but also played a crucial role in the historic victory.

Yadav, who belongs to the small Walni village near Khaparkheda near Nagpur lived his dream as he played his first ever world cup match on Sunday. After the dull spell in the begenning, one could easily sense the tension on the faces of Yadav’s father Tilak and brothers Ramesh and Kamlesh. However, as Umesh took two quick wickets in the 19th and 23rd wicket, the entire house came alive with celebration.

After the team’s victory, Walni witnessed a huge celebration outside Umesh’s residence.
