Nagpur: A CCTV camera came handy for railway police in finding a 6-year old missing boy and uniting him with his anxious grandfather. This all-ends-well incident took place at Nagpur Railway Station on Monday morning.

A resident of Sillewada, Havamahal, Nagpur, Islak Ahmed Khan along with his grandson Dastekam went to Nagpur Railway Station around 11.30 am on Monday. The two had come to the station for meeting one of Dastekam’s relatives who was passing through Nagpur. However, after meeting the relative and returning back, Islak Ahmed Khan and Dastekam got separated in the crowd. The moment Ahmed Khan noticed his 6-year old grandson missing, he rushed to the Railway Police Station and apprised PSI Hotilal Mina about the missing boy. Acting swiftly, the PSI Mina and his team of RPF jawans scanned the CCTV footage. The footage showed Dastekam descending from the foot overbridge at Platform No. 1 at Itarsi end and going towards MCO gate. Without easting time, the team rushed towards the spot and found the kid crying. Cops immediately took possession of the boy and consoled him.

Later the 6-year old boy was produced before Police Inspector Virendra Wankhede and after completing paper formalities, he was handed over to his relieved grandfather. The all-ends-well action was initiated under the guidance of Senior Divisional Safety Commissioner Jyotikumar Satija.
