Nagpur: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon announce the results for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. Once published, students can access their mark sheets on the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
The CBSE, in a circular, has announced the dates for mark verification following the announcement of Class 10 and Class 12 results, which are likely to be declared after May 20. According to the CBSE circular, students who are dissatisfied with their results may ask for mark verification between the fourth and eighth days after the results are declared.
The opportunity for applying to have your marks verified will be available for five days. The scanned photocopy of the evaluated answer book will be available from the 19th to the 20th day following the declaration of the results. The facility will be open for two days.
The circular by CBSE reads, “Evaluation of the answer books is done under a well-settled policy. There are several checks to ensure that the evaluation is correct and error free. However, after the declaration of result, if the students are not satisfied with their performance communicated through results, CBSE provides an opportunity to the students for verification of marks, facility to obtain the photocopy of their evaluated answer books and the re-evaluation of their answers thereafter.”
The board also stated that all activities are time limited and may only be accessed online. The board will not accept requests made after the deadline or in offline mode since they violate important examination safety protocols. CBSE provided advance notice of the schedule so that parents, students, and schools could use these facilities in accordance with CBSE rules.
Results for the CBSE board exam are expected to be released after May 20, 2024. The board exams for each class were held between February and April. The Class 10 board exams took place from February 15 to March 13, and the Class 12 exams were held from February 15 to April 2. Nearly 39 lakh students appeared in the CBSE board exams this year.
“It has been observed that many students and parents approached the CBSE after the last date is over for availing these facilities on one or another pretext. It is informed that these activities are time bound and can be availed only online. No request after the last date and in offline mode will be accepted by the Board as this breaches important examination safety protocol,” reads the official circular.
Parents, students, schools are therefore, being informed the schedule in advance so that, if need be, they can avail these facilities on as per the instructions issued by the CBSE.
All schools are requested to inform their students who participated in the Class X and Class XII examinations about the aforementioned information.
