Car driven by minor injures two

minor car nagpurNagpur: Two children were seriously injured, when a speeding car driven by a minor hit their cycles on Sunday. The accident occured near Central Mall road, Ramdaspeth. The injured children are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.The injured are identified as Kush Verma(13) and Sahil Patel (11) resident of Juni Kachipura. Both the boys were going towards Ramdaspeth on their cycles at 1.10 pm, when they were hit by a car driven by a 17-year-old boy.

According to witnesses, the impact of the accident was so strong that the Kush Verma fell on the steering of the car. And after the collision the car rammed into a road divider. Soon a huge crowd gathered at the spot and caught hold of the driver of the car.

Sitabuldi police also reached the spot and admitted the injured in a hospital and took the accused driver to police station. However, the parents of the accused driver reached the police station and requested for the release of the minor driver on pretext of his exams. However, the condition of the injured children seem to be critical and they belong to a poor family.

The car is said to be in the name of the parent of the minor, he did not even had four wheeler driving licence. The accused was on his way for examinations when the accident happened. The parents of the driver is held responsible for the carelessness in handing over the car to the minor. The police have registered a case against the minor. The parents of the accused driver own a petrol pump at Katol road.
