Canadian national Frank Gregoire leaves his bride teary-eyed after singing ‘Tum Hi Ho’ at their wedding

A pinch of Bollywood emotions and tunes is all that is needed to touch the strings of a girl’s heart, and it gets proved so well! On his wedding reception, Canadian national Frank Gregoire did the unthinkable. In a heart-rending gesture, Gregoire performed Aashiqui 2’s popular love ballad ‘Tum Hi Ho’ for his Indian bride that left her teary-eyed. Apparently, it took him six weeks to learn the lyrics and piano chords for the song. He pulled it off with proper Hindi diction without stuttering or skipping a single beat while preserving the intensity of the original song.
Previously, the song was not his first choice. He was supposed to recite an original poem, but after speaking to his future mother-in-law, he took a liking for the Shraddha Kapoor – Aditya Roy Kapur song.
Frank while talking to a local newspaper said, “At the time I approached Simran’s mom and she recommended a few options, one of which was Tum Hi Ho.’ Once I read the translation, I realized I couldn’t have found anything more perfect to express my feelings to her.”
In response, Simran said, “My heart sank when I first heard him sing in Hindi. It was a feeling I had never felt before. The only thing I was thinking was, ‘How did he manage to do this?’ I was the only one at the reception who knows how hard he truly works.”
It took him six weeks to learn the lyrics and nearly perfect his singing and the accompanying piano chords. Did it have the desired effect? Let’s hear it from the horse’s mouth, in this case, the Tum in question, Simran Malhotra.
