Nagpur: A wrong move on the part of an Activa riding young woman, working as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in a MIHAN company, proved fatal for her. The lady CA met with an accident involving n ST bus and later died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The tragedy reportedly occurred at Rahate Colony Square on Wardha Road around 10.30 am on Friday.
According to information, the deceased has been identified as Prerna Kakde (around 25 years of age). Prerna originally hailed from Saunsar Town in Madhya Pradesh but was presently staying in Nagpur. Eyewitness account says that the deceased Chartered Accountant Prerna Kakde was most probably going to her office, based in MIHAN, on her red-coloured Activa (MH-31/ES 8260).
She reportedly tried to overtake an ST bus from wrong side midway near Rahate Colony Square on Wardha Road. Prerna’s wrong move proved fatal for her as she got hit by the speeding bus. The impact left Prerna injuries of critical nature. Passers-by and nearby people rushed the profusely bleeding Prerna to Shatayu Hospital near Lokmat Square. However, Prerna succumbed to her grievous injuries while undergoing treatment.

Notably, Prerna was not wearing helmet that could have saved her life.
On being informed about the incident, Dhantoli police reached the spot and started their investigation after registering a case.
