Burglars target doctor’s flat in Imambada area in daylight, relieve him of Rs 1,36,000 booty

BurglaryNagpur: Burglars targeted a posh flat of a doctor and relieved him of cash and gold jewellery collectively worth Rs 1,36,200 on a bright sunny day of Tuesday (December 2) in a busy area under Imambada Police Station jurisdiction.

The victim, Dr Dhananjay Vinayak Nakode (42), resident of Flat No. 102, Vinayak Regency Apartment, Krida Chowk (Hanuman Nagar), Nagpur, had, as usual, gone out for work. His wife, who works in Care Hospital, had also gone on duty on Tuesday. During the period between 11.15 am and 3 pm, some burglars broke open the lock of main entry door of the their flat. Once inside, the criminals smashed the locker of an almirah in the bedroom and laid their hands on cash of Rs 1,20,000 and gold jewellery collectively worth Rs 1,36,000 and decamped from the spot.

Imambada Assistant PSI Sunkarwar has registered an offence under Sections 454, 380 of the IPC and searching for accused to nab them.
