Burglars struck two house; looted valuables from Ambazari and Koradi areas

Nagpur News : Unidentified burglars struck into two houses in Ambazari and Koradi areas and looted valuables collectively worth Rs 3.09 lakh on Tuesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, Hargovind Vrundavandas Thavkar (62), a resident of Hill Top, Ambazai, along with his wife had gone to Sitabuldi for some work. Meanwhile, some unidentified burglars struck into their house by breaking open the latch of the main door. The thieves looted cash Rs 22,000 and gold ornaments collectively worth Rs 1.92 lakh from an iron almirah.

Hargovind was shocked to see the broken lock when he came back home. He immediately checked the valuables and found them missing. He informed Ambazari police who reached the spot and performed panchanama of the scene. Cops have registered an offence under Section 454 and 380 of the IPC and started the investigations.

In another house-breaking theft, unidentified thieves broke into the house of one Jyoti Raosaheb Raut (48), a resident of Plot No. 12, Sant Dnyaneshwar Society, Koradi. Police said that the theft took place between 11 am and 5 pm when Jyoti locked the house and went to a bank for some work. Taking advantage of the situation, unidentified thieves entered the house by breaking open the front door. They looted cash Rs 7,000 and gold ornaments collectively worth Rs 1.17 lakh from the bedroom.

Jyoti discovered the theft when she returned from the bank. She immediately informed Koradi police about the burglary. Cops registered an offence under Section 454 and 380 of the IPC against the unidentified thieves.
