Burglars strike at Rai Industry office, decamp with cash of Rs 2.50 lakh in a 7-minute operation

Nagpur: In a 7-minute operation, burglars struck at the office of a reputed building construction company and decamped with booty including cash of Rs 2.50 lakh. No arrests have been made in the offence so far.

According to police, some unidentified miscreants targeted the office of Rai Industry, situated opposite Main Bus Stand in Ganeshpeth. Rai Industry is run by Kishore Gopichand Rai (52), resident of 136, Canal Road, Ramdaspeth. The burglars broke open the outer door and entered into the office between 0226 and 0233 hours of Monday night. In the 7-minute operation, the thieves laid their hands on cash of Rs 2.50 lakh, three mobiles and a fan collectively worth Rs 2.66 lakh. It is surmised that during the seven minutes, the guard or watchman was not present at the spot. When the theft came to notice, a complaint was registered with Ganeshpeth police by Kishore Rai.

PSI Mahadik booked the unidentified thieves under Sections 457, 380 of IPC and searching for them.
