Burglars strike at apartment in Sonegaon

Burglars struck at an apartment in Sonegaon in Nagpur and relieved the owner of his booty worth over Rs 1 lakh.

According to police, the theft occurred between 9 am and 9 pm on Thursday (June 26). The victim Shailesh Agnihotri (34), resident of Flat No. 101, First Floor, Residency Apartment, near Sonegaon Lake, went to office after locking the house. At the same time, some criminals broke open the lock and entered the flat. Once inside, the burglars laid their hands on gold-silver ornaments and cash collectively worth over Rs 1 lakh. The theft came to notice when Shailendra returned home. A complaint in this connection was lodged with Sonegaon Police Station. An offence under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered against the unidentified burglars and further probe is under way.
